I looked at your prior messages and I think I located the civil marriage index record for the marriage of John O'Brien and Maria Curran. They were married in the first quarter of 1927. The marriage is recorded in the Rathdrum registration district, volume 2 page 561.

You can get a copy of ithis record for around 4 euros from the General Register Office. The record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1927. If you plan to get a copy let me know and I will forward instructions.

oh thankyou so much a glimmer of hope at last:)) Interesting that my Mother (according to her birth certificate) was born in January 20th 1927!!!  Anyway, I certainly would like to obtain a copy of the wedding certificate, so please forward instructions to me.

I was on my I-pad last night and could not copy the record but I have displayed it tbelow. Here is the link to the General register Office. Print the form for a marriage record. Fill out to the best of your ability. Make sure you ask for a copy not the cert. Include the info from the index record-- registration district , volume and page number. You have to mail the request but you can ask them to e-mail the copy back. Happy Christmas to you also.

I have looked at the site you sent through to me and I'm not able to find a marriage record form to copy.  Is there a way this can be emailed to me or can you suggest something else.
