Any information on Jack, DOB 05/12/1923, immigrated to South Africa after the 2nd World War, I am one of his children of 4, any information on his siblings or their family would be helpful. He had two brothers, James & Shaw, a few sisters, cant recall all their names, but Greta, Angela and I think Netta spring to mind. Greta hased passed away, she was married to a David Gardiner I recall.

Birth records for Northern Ireland less than 100 years old are not on-line anywhere. But they are held by GRONI. You should e-mail GRONI in Belfast with Wm John?s details, and that should enable you to find his birth certificate, parents names and place of birth. You could work backwards from that.

Not sure if it's relevant but there are 45 Montgomerys in the 1911 Irish Census in Newtownards, Down www.census.nationalarchives.ie/ (free site)
