Debora:
Do you have a year of birth for Martin and when he left Ireland. I only located one Mylott family in the 1901 census with the John and Mary combination. They lived in Co. Roacommon.

Let me know.

Debora:
I looked for civil birth index records for 1867 for Martin Mylott with no success. However, there were three Martin Mylott or variant names in 1866.
Martin Mylott 1866 Ballinrobe registration district
Martin Mylot 1866 Castlereagh registration district
Martin Mylotte 1866 Roscommon registration district
I can provide the specific index data if you need it.
I checked Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie and they have an 1854 marriage record in the Ballinrobe RC church records for a John Mylott and Mary Rowland. Possibly this is your ancestors. Roots is a pay site to view a transcription of a church record. Let me know what you think.

Greetings Roger,
Martin Mylott 1866 Ballinrobe seems best. Would appreciate the index data. Where would I obtain an actual copy of the birth record?
Will look to roots for John and Mary, but this also looks promising. Thank you.
Kind Regards,
