Looking for Morans

I went to Roots Ireland  www.rootsireland.ie and found the 1820 baptism for Judith and the 1830 baptism for Nicholas in the Taghmon RC parish records. Parents were Patrick Moran and Jane Cullen. I did not look for the other children but I assume their records were also available. Roots is a pay site to view the transcription of church data.

Taghmon is a parish to the northeast of Mullingar.

I did not locate a marriage record for Patrick and Jane and I did not locate Patrick in the Tithes listings.

The RC parish registers are now online so you may want to scan the Taghmon and Mullingar registers. Records go back pretty far but I did not look to see how legible they were or if they were in Latin.

Thanks again, Roger. I've already checked out the microfilm when I was last in Ireland, and had as much luck as you did. Oh well. I'll keep looking and hoping.

I do appreciate your help and I do plan to return to Ireland,when I can spend more than a day in Mullingar.
