I know that my Stapletons come from Killoskehan, as I have found some of the baptisms of the children of Tobias Stapleton and Johanna(Judy) McGrath in the parish of Drom:

Bridget (1830), Elizabeth (1832), John (1836), Matthew (1839), Tobias (1841), John (1842), plus there were meant to be three other children, who died as infants. Some of the children went to Victoria, Australia.

Can anyone help with linking the witnesses of these baptisms to this family? They include Judy Stapleton, Matt McGrath, Cath Stapleton, Kitty McGrath, and others of different surnames. Is there a marriage record for Tobias and Johanna or any further information on their families?

    Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie  has an 1829 marriage record for a Tobias Stapleton and Johanna McGrath in the records for Drom parish.. Roots is a pay site to view the transcription of the church record. You can likely locate records for other family members and possibly the witnesses.
