Mary died in Pittsfield, Illinois in 1879 the wife of Peter Riley ( belived to be fron County Cavan )

Have you had a look at www.rootsireland.ie. There are 2 marriage records for a Daniel Cronin to a woman surname McCarthy, both for Co. Cork. The years for these marriages were 1824 and 1836. As this is a suscription site I was unable to see the first name of the bride in each case. As there are only 2 records, it might be a good idea to have a look.
