I'm trying to find out what happened to the various siblings of my great grandfather. Two of them were born in Claremorris, Thomas Kennedy born in 1878 and Joseph Kennedy born in 1882, and the whole family lived there for many years. Their father, James Kennedy, was the Head Constable in Claremorris until he was pensioned in 1881 and then lived there until his death in 1911. His wife died there the following year.Their sons are present at their deaths but I can't find out what happened to them after that.
Joseph appears on the 1901 census living with his parents and occupation is "scholar." Thomas appears on the 1911 census as single, living with his parents, occupation "clerk."
I can't find a marriage record I can difinitively trace to either one. Any help is greatly appreciated. The records seem to get pretty thin post 1911.

Lisa:
There is a record of a Joseph Kennedy marriage in the Claremorris registration district in the January-March quarter 1913. Volume 4 page 101. Possible spouse names on the page were: Susan Waldron, Helen Jennings, Celia Loftus and Margaret Brennan.
The only Thomas Kennedy marriage record was in 1937.
You can get a copy of the Joseph marriage record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. I can forward instructions if you plan to get a copy.

I can't thank you enough! The marriage record for Joseph was correct, Helen Jennings was his wife. This record also gave me his occupation, interestingly the same as his father - RIC. This let me to a RIC record and pension record, children's birth records, an immigration record and finally to cousins! We've connected on email and we're sharing pictures and stories. Thank you so very, very much
