Hi all,
This is my first message on here, so hope someone can be of assistance. I'm visiting Headford in a couple of weeks in the hope of tracing some of my ancestors. They left Headford in c1858 but were all born there around 1820-1840. Some members died so will be burried in the area, the remainder moved to Liverpool, England.
I'm hoping to find baptismal records for RC churches in this area for around 1801-1850 in the hope of discovering their baptism records and perhaps marriage records. Does anyone know if these records exist? If not, what other records could I look at? I've found my Bridget Campbell on the Griffiths valuation, living on High Street, Headford. I'm also visiting Dublin so can search the archives whilst there.
Also, what cemeteries should I look at when I arrive in the hope that some headstone might still exist?
I look forward to hearing from you and hope someone can be of assistance.
Best wishes,
Daniel

Daniel:
The reference book that I have on availability of church records shows that RC records for the Headford area start around 1880.
There are a number of churches in the area. St. Marys is the church in Headford.
