I'm looking for Irish relatives and family tree for my great grandfather Nicholas Powers. He was born April 30, 1838 to a James and Mary Powers. My father always said he came from County Cork, but I cna find no Power(s) surnames in Cork, only Waterford. These three emigrated from Ireland during the Potato Famine, and all info back to Ireland was lost, because his crazy daughter, my great aunt Mary, never listed the city of county of his birth, just Ireland.

The Tithe Applotments (free online) have 16 Powers in Waterford 1826-30 but no James

I am looking for information on my gggrandparents. Philip Beresford married Johanna Reilly or O'Reilly, They had two sons Patrick and Thomas. Paatrick is my great grandfather and he married Catherine or Katherine Dooley. They ended up in Gooseberry Island, St. Brendan's Newfoundland. I am looking for Philip's father and mother. I have no information. Philip was born in 1800.
