G.G.Grandparents Bridget JENNINGS ( b 1802, Ballinrobe), married soldier Thomas FEENEY, (b Glenkillamey, 1797), in St Mary's, Ballinrobe, April, 1825. Family left for Tasmania that year and eventually became farmers in New South Wales. Children: Thomas, Patrick, Mary Jane, Bridget, Martin, John, Margaret, Catherine, William, Sarah. Are there any Jennings relations who could give me family history please?

Hi Helen,
if you don't get any other responses, if you google Irish phone book you get eircom. Search Residential for Jennings Ballinrobe and you'll get 10 of them.
We have had success from people writing to eircom listings so if all else fails....

I am also a descendent of Thomas Feeney and Bridget Jennings: their daughter Sarah married Daniel O'Connor, their daughter Elizabeth married Michael O'Brien who was my G.Gr Grandfather wondered if you had gained anymore info. We are heading to Ireland in 4 weeks so hoping to visit Ballinrobe and Corrofin (where Michael O'Brien was baptised)

Hello Sue,
Am in Perth: 08 9315 4169. I have some Feeney, O'Connor, Murga info and history if you need it.
Would love to chat with you before you leave. Unfortunately all my trips to Ireland were before I knew that's where the Feeneys and Jennings came from. I have done some detective work and located the birthplace of the Feeneys. I can email it to you.
Best wishes,
Helen.

Hi Helen,
Would love to hear what info you have.
My great aunt Ellen Carman(O'Brien) owned the property 'Goimbla' Murga. We spent many holidays there exploring, my love of country was certainly begun at the farm.
We live in Bega NSW and are heading to Spain in 2 weeks for our sons'wedding. Then off to Ireland (Galway), not much time but hoping for as much info before we go so I can cram in a few graveside and church visits. These seem to be the only ways to find out any definite info since few records remain.
I'll take lots of photos and maybe there will be something of use...
