I am searching for my 4th great grandparents - Patrick Meehan & Mary O'Reilly. It is my understanding that they were from the County of Fermanagh. Their children are Barbara, Mary (1808 - 1889), Bernard (1815 - Aft 188), Patrick John (1816 - 1880) and Myles (1810 - 1900). I know that Mary, Bernard and Patrick John were born in County of Fermanagh. Barbara and Myles were also born in Ireland just not sure if it was in Fermanagh.
Daughter Mary Meehan married John Durnin (1812 - 1897) who was also born in County of Fermanagh where they also were married.
Daughter Barbara married Charles Kelly.
Son Bernard Meehan married Susan McHugh in Ireland, possibly County of Fermanagh.
Son Patrick John married Mary McGinnis (1821 - 1853) (1st marriage) and later Mary Durnin after the death of Mary McGinnis. He wed Mary Durnin in Canada.
Son Myles married Catherine Mulhern (born 1835 in Ireland).
The Meehan and O'Reillys migrated to Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada in 1840 or 1841.
There was an Elizabeth (Bessie) O'Reilly that Married a man name McDermott. Mary and Elizabeth O'Reilly were closely related, probably sisters.
I could also list some of their children that were born in Ireland if that would help.
Thank you for any help you can give in my search for my 4th great grandparents history.

From the names I presume they were RC. Pre 1800 records are not plentiful. You could try the Fermanagh Gold site.

Thank you Bob for your reply. Could you please explain what you mean by "from the names I presume they were RC"?

Hi Theresann,
I know that you posted this a few years ago but I am wondering if by any chance you would know the name of the parish that John Durnin & Mary Meehan were born and got married. John is my gr,gr,gr grandfather and unfortunately I haven't been able to find out more information about him. Anything you may have on the Durnin's would be great.
thank you in advance,
Sylvie Durnin
