My 2nd great grandfather was Joseph McSloy, b. 11 Jun 1832, Clonoe, Co. Tyrone. He married Margaret McIlvaney from Co. Antrim in 1851, at Port Glasgow, Scotland. His parents were Patrick McSloy and Frances Murray (est. DOB 1790-1810).
Joseph appears to have arrived in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland around 1848 with brothers Daniel (m. Susan Tracy), William (m. Mary McArthur) and sisters Bridget (m. John Devlin) and Mary (m. John Curran). Another brother, John, settled in Aberdeen and married Ann Craig.
Would like to hear from anyone with a connection to this family.
