I'm looking for any information on Andrew Shaw and his wife Jane Savage ( great-great grandparents), I believe that they are buried in the old catholic graveyard in Tullylish ( top right hand corner, near the old wall, no marker now).
Their daughter Jane Elizabeth, born 20.06.1845, married James McComish born 1838, the couple (marriage date between 1864 -1868), my great grandparents,and daughters Elizabeth, and Mary, left Ireland in 1877, on the sailing ship Otaki (New Zealand shipping company) for New Zealand, settling in Cambridge, Waikato.
James McComish's parents were Dennis McComish and Anne Doran, I assume that they are buried in the above mentioned graveyard .
Would love to hear from anyone connected to the above families.

Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. It also shows you where copies of the records are available.
