Hello
I am coming to Ireland in a month, and while I've been diligently attempting to locate my family's parishes, villages and any remaining relatives, I've had little luck. To be fair, I've tried to do it myself and maybe it's time to get some assistance! I hope it is not too late.
I believe Catherine or Kate Gibbons (my grandmother) was born in Turloughmore, Galway, I have a church baptismal record that says her parents were Mark Gibbons and Bridget Kelly Gibbons. My grandfather told the coroner that my great grandmother also went by "Delia." We know my nana had a sister, Mary. We also believe she was born in February 1872. We believe she left for New York around age 20, possibly earlier.
I would love to find my great grandparents graves, the streets they lived on and the churches they worshipped in....Natually, but I realize it is probably too much to ask, I've love to know who my nana left behind and where and if I have any remaining relatives. I don't know whether one month is realistic to do this but I plan to be there, and drive through Turloughmore and look around. Can anyone help me?
Thank you.

I think I've given you as much much information as I have. I have her death certificate from Brooklyn NY; she died on October 31, 1943 or 44. This also confirms her parents were Bridget Kelly (Delia) and Mark Gibbons. She had four children; she was married to Richard Ruth, also an immigrant. They had four chidren together, James Francis Ruth was my father. She had three girls: Mary, Rita and Bridget (AKA Veronica). They lived on Coffey St in Brooklyn, NY their whole lives. My nana's sister was Mary and she also went to Brooklyn.
Sadly, that is pretty much it! Thank you and please suggest any actions I might take in the near future to help clarify things.
