My ancestor James Ferguson DOUGLAS emigrated to New Zealand and in documentation stated he was born in Comber, County Down.
When he emigrated in 1860 he gave his age as 19 so would have been born C1841.
I would love to track his parentage if anyone can help.
He named his eldest son "Samuel James" & eldest daughter "Sarah Jane" if that helps.

My family name is rea and it appears they came from dundonald or that area eventually moving to near Belfast Does anyone have any information please. Martha
