Seeking any info on my GGG Grandfather Michael Farraher (DOB 1811) and wife Ann (DOB 1812) from Ballinrobe, County Meo (headstone inscription). Her maiden name Anna Dorsey. Came to US approximately 1861. Children: Thomas, James, Patrick, Mary and possibly a Bridgett and others unknown. Settled in Fulton, Whiteside County, Illinois. I've exhausted ancestry.com and family search.org. Michael and Ann are not found in any passenger records nor obits due to fire in newspaper building. Exhausted all sources in Fulton with assistance from genealogical society.

I checked the 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household data for Co. Mayo and found the record below. (Creagh is the town in Co.Galway). Surname spelling is slightly different. The Mormon Church has filmed the church records for Ballinrobe back to 1848. www.familysearch.org You can order one or both of the films below and review the records at a local Family History Center. Hopefully, you live fairly close to an FHC.
