Trying to trace family and place in Ireland of my great grandparents James Andrews and Mary Moore. James born 1825. Mary born 1827. Moved to Scotland ??. Married at Kirkcowan in Wigton-shire 28/10/1848. I have history of them since and now trying to go back in Ireland.

Assuming they died in Scotland after 1855 their death certificates will give their parents names - if the informant knew that is.

Ihave death certificate for Mary Moore. She died 11/3/1867 at Old Luce. Fathers name was William and he was a coal miner. He died before 1867.
Mother was Jane ?? surname unknown.Dead before 1867
Still to find death details for James Andrews.

Unfortunately you have an extremely common name. Rootsireland lists 27 Marys with a father named William bapt. 1827+/-. None of them have mother Jane.
Has loads as well. None of the 1827 has parents William and Jane.
Scotlandspeople should have James death certificate assuming he made it past 1855. If it gives both parents it may be that Mary came from the same county.

Could this be them? James Andrews married Agnes Moore at St Anne's Church of Ireland in Shankill, Belfast, August 4, 1845.
