Go to www.rootsireland.ie and subscribe for free to the site. this allows you some free searches.
I found a marriage record for thomas harty and catherine leamy in 1841. Its in the parish of Pallasgrean and Templebredon.
If you view this record (€5) or so, hopefully you'll get the names of some of the parents and you'll be able to go further back to look for birth certs.

thank you I have their marriage and birth records already, and for his father William. I haven't been able to go back any farther so far. I appreciate the volunteers doing research for us across the water. Marie
