In answer to your question, yes if they married in a Congregational Church they would have been Anglican. Church records can often be very useful for information so it  may be an idea to look into these. For information on what Church of Ireland records are available check:

You should also be able to find information in civil records.Civil registration became mandatory in Ireland in 1864, so any births, marriages, deaths in the family after this date would have been recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Registrar's Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

Have you tried looking for any family members still in the area in the 1901/1911 census records? You can search these online at: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

You could also check for record of the family in the land acts pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:

and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
