  • I am trying to trace the birth date of my gt. grandfather William Moore and who his mother was.The 1911 census states he was 28 ; born in Belfast city;a rivetter;married 7 yrs ;lived 33 Kennilworth St and was married 7 yrs to Minnie(Morgan). Their 1st 3 children were Wm Jnr ;Lillie and Evelyn ,my grandmother. Other children were : Gladys/Violet/Davie/Samuel.

His marr. cert. says the marriage was solemnized at Dundela in the Holywood parish on 9/7/1904; add. was 29 Avon St;his father was James, a Plater.

His death cert.states he died on 6/4/1936 ;age 53 ; of Myocarditis. His address was 79 Convention St,Belfast. A family tree was linked to ours (on My Heritage) stating the wife of James Moore ( he died on 18/4/1925) was Mary (M'Alister) and she died 13/7/1897. She had one daughter -Susan born 9/8/1875 and one -Eveline Johnston ( probably her married name).James and Mary were  married 13/5/1871. I found that James Moore remarried a Sarah Jane (Murray) on 31/1/1898 and his marital status was widower. This seems to all tie in but I am afraid to accept the other family tree-link without confirmation and I still cannot find anything about Williams birth. I do hope that you can give me some information as I realize I have been searching from before  February 2013.
