Hello I have been searching for many years for my Dads Family. Michael Joseph Lyons according to his Declaration of Intent to naturalize USA. Michael was born Oct 12 1875 to James Lyons and Margaret Broderick. James Lyons b. abt 1841 , Fathers name Michael, Mother Ellen Reardon????? Margaret b. 1844 to Patrick Broderick. Problem being my Dads father Michael died when He was 11 so not much was known . I have been to the archives in Boston and received some info. To add to the family confution Michael Joseph Lyons married Mary E( Ellen) Lyons from Galway Daughter of Jeremiah Lyons and Anne Sullivan in Boston. Thanks for your query. I have been on to the parish priest in Tynagh and according to the baptismal records there were two Michael Joseph Lyons baptised in Tynagh parish, one in 1826 and the other in 1919.
I don't think either matches your search. If you knew which townsland in Tynagh your ancestor came from, this would help.

You mention Margaret Broderick being the daughter of Patrick Broderick. Do you know any more about her? My great great grandfather was Patrick Broderick. He lived in the Killeenadeema/Derrybrien area of Loughrea. I have a listing of his children but no Margaret, but the list may not be complete. Married Catherine Boyle in 1836. Most of the family immigrated to the Boston area, specifically Hyde Park.
