I'm looking for info on the Brady family
The father of the family was Head Constable Edward Brady born 7 Jan 1874 in Gort Galway - he was in the RIC and left when they were dispanded in 1922, but when WW2 started he moved back to Ireland to Bray.
Family oral history says when he died he was buried in the Church of Ireland graveyard in Bray (11 Nov 1949).
He married Annie Mulcahy and had six children

- Bridget b. 1910
- George b ??
- Albert b ??
- Alice b ??
Any info would be great as we have lost contact with this arm of the family.

Was Edward stationed in Kyleglass in Clare? If so this may be him in the 1911 census, when his rank was acting sergeant:

Was he stationed in Phoenix Park Barracks in 1901:

I assume you have his RIC service record. That will tell you where he was stationed. He married in Clonmel in 1904 but again I assume you have that. If you search on findmypast under the Petty Sessions cases for the counties he served in you should get details of court cases where he was responsible for a prosecution or was involved. (Subscription required). I can see some likely cases for Clare in 1913 for example.
