LOOKING FOR INFO ON OXBURGH IN CASTLE POLLARD  IN 1850'S

    I checked the Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for all of Ireland. There was only one Oxburgh record-- a Robert Oxburgh who lived in Clondalever townland in Rathconnell civil parish.

    There were no Oxburghs in the 1901 and 1911 censuses.

  • That is very kind of you Roger - I have that record and belive it relates to my husband's Great Great Grandfather Robert Thomas Oxburgh born 1818 Leeds, Yorkshire - the son of Thomas and Margaret both of whom I believe were Irish.
