Hello, I am trying to see if a woman by the name of Johanna Barry born April 17, 1870, is possibly my great grandmother, Annie Barry, born on April 16, 1872. There is also another Anne Barry, born April 21, 1872 in County Kerry.

My great grandmother's death certificate reads as: Anna Sheehan. She died June 13, 1925 in NYC. She was born in Ireland, April 16, 1872. Parents: John Barry. Her mother is not listed. Both parents born in Ireland as well.

    Here are the possible matches:

I am wondering if there are any grave inscriptions in these areas, so I can see if any one of these Barrys was my great grandmother. I tried looking at the Irish census lists, but could not find her, and she was not listed with the family either.

Also, my great grandfather, Daniel Sheehan, was supposedly from County Limerick, as per his naturalization record. Some of the information is wrong, so I don't know what to believe.

His death certificate reads as follows: Daniel Sheehan December 10, 1870 Ireland Parents: Daniel Sheehan and Margaret Barry (same surname as my great grandmother). Don't know if they were related?

However, although many censuses list the 2 having different arrival dates, there was a Johanna Barry supposedly on the same boat as my great grandfather in May 15, 1893 from Ellis Island. On the other hand, he even listed his wife as arriving in 1888. Could this be a coincidence? I'm absolutely confused.

One other thing about the census; in 1910: they were listed as "Irish, Irish" (Irish-speaking) before Ireland was divided. Some of their neighbors were listed as "Irish, English" (English speaking).

My paternal grandmother's name was Mary Sheehan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Does anybody possibly know about the whereabouts of the 2 Barry listed in the Irish church record links above? Thank you.
