  • Hi Jo

There are 28 Thomas Brassell Waterford birth/baptism records in www.rootsireland.ie/

    http://ifhf.rootsireland.ie/quis.php?page=0&prevStartQuery=0

Can you provde an approximate birth year to help narrow it down?

Do you have names of spouse, siblings or parents?

There are 148 public member trees on ancestry.com which have a Thomas Brassell but none mentions New Zealand.

  • Hi Col

    Thanks for replying !

We do not have his wifes or siblings name but he had we think 5 kids - Walter John(wife Isabel Homes),Thomas Jnr,Michael,Mary-ann,Jack all of which we think were born in New Zealand.

They went to Greymouth New Zealand and were there until approx 1894 when some of them went to South Africa.

Have tried to search the passenger lists but so far no luck.

Its such a pity that one only starts asking questions when the very people that can help have passed on.

Have started compiling the Brassell family on "My Heritage.com and have come to a halt !
