We are looking for the church of our family.  Thomas Eugene Tobin was born March 27, 1859 in Waterford.  His father was James Tobin, mother was Brydgid Driscal.  Thomas was married to Mary Nell Longan of Whitechurch Dungarvan Waterford.  Born on January 22, 1872.  We would like to have our marraige blessed at the church of our ancestors.  We are planning on traveling from U.S. in October.  Please help with any information.

    There is a record of the baptism of Thomas Tobin 1859 in Waterford on www.rootsireland.ie

    You need to purchase credits to view the record but they are currently giving 40% off so it will only cost a few dollars. You need to register which is free.

    The record will have the name of the parish - I'm not sure about the church though.

    However, I managed to get the parish by searching the parish option and Aglish Roman Catholic is the parish the baptism was done in. From google it looks like the church is Ballinameela St James.

    rootsireland also has 2 listings of the marriage of Thomas Tobin to Mary in Aglish Waterford - 1 in 1855 and 1 in 1864.

  • We are looking for the Parish that Patrick and Margaret were married.  We know they had a child Mary born Jan. 22,1872 Coolnanav. Whitechurch Dungarvan.  Does anyone have any information on Mary's Parents or where Mary's baptism?
