I am looking for descendants of Michael Terry and Margaret Tierney. They had two sons before they left Dungarvan for Canada. The sons were John and Patrick. I would love to find Irish relatives to further expand our family tree. Please feel free to contact me with any info concerning this manner. Thank you ,Mary

Mary:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
When did the Terry family leave Ireland and what were the approximate birth years for Patrick and John? Here is a link to the online Irish phone book http://www.eirphonebook.ie/# If you search for Terry in County Waterford, you will get a number of records in the Dungarvan area. Make sure you use the Residential Tab.

Mary:
You won't find death records for someone who died in the 1820s. Civil registration started in 1864 and prior to that year, very few churches kept records. Portlaw and Dungarvan do not have death records. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1117 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1105 You won't find ship records from that time period.
Below are the only Michael Terry and Margaret Tierney baptismal records I could find on Roots.

Mary:
The RC parish is Kill. Also known as Kill and Newtown. Gender was a separate part of the record which when I pasted appeared to be part of Kill.

I have a question, John Terry ,Joanna Power and baptism of son Michael Terry were in church records from Waterford, Lismore Catholic Parish records from Rossmore. Does the town of Rossmore, Waterford County still exist as a town? Can someone visiting Ireland find records there? Thanks Mary

Mary:
As far as I can tell, there is no Rossmore town in Waterford. There is a placename called Rossmore to the east of the town of Kilmacthomas.
