My name is Lenore Roach. My great great grandparents were Patrick Malone and Margaret Daly/Daley
There son John born November 23, 1848 or 1849 listed on his naturalization papers in Massachusetts
USA that he was born in Waterford Ireland. I seem to recall Dungarven being mentioned somewhere.
Or it might be another parish in Waterford. Wondering if you can check your records to see if John was
born there in nov. of 1848 or 1849. His father Patrick was born March 19, 1824 and his mother was
born in 1825. They were married somewhere in Ireland in 1844. Do not know where they were born.

Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie is a pay site. I just checked and they have an 1848 baptismal record for a John Malone born to Patrick Malone and Margaret Daley in the Portlaw parish RC records. You would have to register and pay to see the actual record. You can also search to see if they also have the 1844 marriage record.
