Thank you, Elaine, for your very welcome information. I'll certainly follow up with your suggestions.  My grandmother married my grandfather, John Murphy, but I don't know where he came from.  Do you think that if I linked his name with my grandmother's maiden name, a family member who remained in Ireland might recognize the connection if he came from the same area she did?  Sorry for the grammatical errors.  But, thanks again, I do appreciate your help.   Lorraine

Elaine Hi,   It must have been late at night and my sentence was very convoluted as was the idea I had that if my grandfather came from the same area as my grandmother perhaps their families knew each other and by mentioning his name along with hers, this might spark a family member's memory about both families.  I know it''s way too far out to be possible, so I won't pursue this line any further. Hope I didn't take up too much of your time. It's so wonderful to have this resource, I don't want to waste it. Thanks for your help.
