My ggf Thomas Curran was baptised Thomas Curreen on 14 Apr 1821 at Ardmore Parish (Ring and Old Parish?) His parents were James Curran born about 1775, Grallagh, Dungarvan and Ellen Curran (nee Connery) born about 1780.
The family consisted of John baptised 25 Nov 1819, Thomas (above), Michael baptised 21 Sep 1824, James baptised 10 Sep 1826, Declan baptised 22 Jul 1828, Mary baptised 22 Aug 1830, Joanna baptised 24 Jan 1832, and Ellen baptised 21 Dec 1833. The family name was variously written as Curran, Curreen or Curren, in the parish register. All the baptisms were in the Ardmore Parish.
Four of the family immigrated to New Zealand: John (1860), Thomas (1874), James (1879), Joanna (1871). I believe the other four remained in Ireland. I would be interested to hear from any descendants of Michael, Declan, Mary or Ellen or any information about them. Thank you for your help. John Curran mandjcurran@xtra.co.nz

You may have seen my post on the Ardmore Parish board under Geary. My g-g-g-grandfather was Thomas Guiry (Geary) (1807-1870). He married Ellen Curreen (also 1807-1870) and they lived just behind St. Declans Church in Ardmore. Both Thomas and Ellen died in 1870 in Ardmore.
They were probably related somehow; but you already have an Ellen born in 1833. She could have been your Thomas' (b.1821) sister.
Have you noticed that there is a Ballycurreen (Curreen Town) between Ardmore and Helvick Head?
