looking for Marriages of William WHITELY Born about 1895 married about 1820 to Mary ALEXANDER first child Baptised Jane 2/12/ 1821 their residence was MULLINRODY MULLANRODY just maybe it was MULLYRODDAN lower Dungannon Barony civil parish of Killishill,Co Tyrone?? it was always given as Tyrone. then 1934 - 35 he remarried to Mary McCaully not sure of spelling & more children, William plus james Dinah Elizabeth WHITELY etc I have found in Work houses records quoting James my Great Grandfather 7415.0 14child of 7414p none thinly clothed Lack Aghaleague 04-07-1849 03-081849 all children died in AUSTRALIA. any information or help gratefully recieved as I have a brick wall there. elanawhit.

Civil registration did not begin in Ireland until 1864, so any births, marriages, deaths would have been recorded by the Church.
Do you know what religion the family were?
Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Killeeshil parish, follow this link:

www.familysearch.org also have a collection of records available.
www.rootsireland.ie have a huge collection of Church records, however you have to pay to see these records.
It may also be an idea to contact the Irish World Heritage Centre in Tyrone for possible assistance- however a fee may apply.
