I have traced the Joseph Liggett family to the Flax Rolls of 1796, in Tyrone. Joseph and his descendents farmed in Keady townland and then at Mullycarnon. They were strong supporters of Minterburn Presbyterian Church. There is some evidence that other brothers, Robert and James, leased land in Killyfaddy, on the Cairns estate before 1800. Robert is the patriarch of the "Clogher" Liggett line. I would like to learn more about the pre-1800 Liggetts in Tyrone, and their origin.

Hi there,
Here is a useful link for the Minterburn Presbyterian Church records: http://www.presbyterianireland.org/about/records.html#m
and much of the information should be accessible here: http://www.proni.gov.uk/
You should also check the Freeholders list (1795-98) here: http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/search_the_archives/freeholders_records.htm
The 1766 list which includes Errigal Keerogue is available here: PRONI T.808/15264 7. Also the National Archives of Ireland Parliamentary returns 648-66, Church of Latter Day Saints, Film 258517.
I hope this gets you started for now. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.
Kind regards,
