There is another in 1845 but that would only make him 15 when married

Looks like they had 4 children - all in Killeshill: Joseph 1862, Catherine, 1863, Thomas 1866 & Michael 1868

Possible siblings or cousins of Michael's were married to Skeffingtons and having children in Dungannon:

Peter & Mary; Francis & Anne Jane

Well I have little to offer only that my observations of the names  tells me that  they are of the Roman Catholic.religion.

A fellow researcher Annie Crenshaw    anniecrenshaw@centurytel.net     I believe was researching the Skiffington / Skeffington and the Donnelly families  from a similar area recently.

Hopefully you may get some leads from there.
