Searching for the family of Thomas Carson (born in Dungannon abt. 1799-1800) married Jane Miller and had a daughter Elizabeth (about 1828-1829). The family immigrated to the United States about 1829-1830. The family lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania all of their lives. In Philadelphia they attended the local Presbyterian Church.

Dungannon 1st Presbyterian church has baptisms and marriages from 1790 onwards. In addition some marriages relating to that church for the years 1819 – 1828 are in 3rd Cookstown’s registers (The Minister appears to have transferred between the 2 churches and used the same register for both). Copies of both sets of registers are in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. A personal visit is required to view them there.
