I am seeking descendents of my Great, Great, Great Grandfather Moses Rodgers whom I believe came from the Dungannon, Strabane and Omagh districts of County Tyrone Northern Ireland.
Moses had 3 sons, William Rodgers b.1806, Hugh Rodgers b.1811 and Samuel Rodgers b.1825.
By the 1850’s these 3 boys had settled in the Strabane townlands of Gorticlare and Carnagribben.
William married a Matilda Robison of Money Kenon in 1856 at Dunnamanagh, Hugh married Sarah Anne in the 1860’s and Samuel married Matilda Baird in the 1870’s
However there are no records of where Moses Rodgers and the family lived prior to 1856 or where the boys were born.
Land holding records mention Moses Rodgers Esq, Hugh Rodgers and William Rodgers as merchants in Scotch, Market and Church Street Dungannon in the 1820’s and a Moses Rodgers Snr & Jnr living at Cavanacaw Omagh in the early 1820’s.
If there are any Rodgers or Rogers that believe they are descendents of Moses or have any information that can assist me could they please get in touch with me.
