There were a number of Irish Hopkins that landed in Saint John New Brunswick between 1830 and 1850 that were from Donaghedy Ireland, according to the New Brunswick Census. William Hopkins landed in Port of aint John, NB from Ireland in June of 1831, and his sister came a number of years later in August of 1848. There was a fire in Saint John, NB in 1877 that destroyed almost the entirety of the port records. I have not had much luck finding and Hopkins in Donaghedy in the early 1800's let alone William or his family. If anyone is interested in thie family please feel free to email me and I will share what I know. Thanks.... Joe Hopkins joeh@nbnet.nb.ca
