My Great Grandparents, William Morris and Bridget Kennedy left Ireland in the late 1880's and were married in NYC 1893.
William Morris' parents were William Morris and Ellen Lawlor, though he was born in Kilkenny he always referred to him self as "Big Bill From Newhill". Bridget was born in Glen Google and her father was Patrick Kennedy and Hanora O'Connor.
Are there any relations still in the area?

I went to www.rootsireland.ie and put in the parents names and got all the baptismal records of their children

This site is free to join and search but you pay to view records. At the moment there is 40% until October 13th. As you can see there is a good chance that you have many relatives here in Ireland.
