Hi Maryanne,

Go to www.rootsireland.ie  and you will find the record for Michael's birth.   I went to the main menu and put in michael bannon 1830 .  I then refined this search and entered his fathers name and then entered his mothers name.  It came up with just one record in the end in Co. Tipperary.

If you then look at the left side and click on county genealogy centres, it will show you a map of ireland.  I clicked on North Tipperary and then re entered the information.   I then went down to the parish/district dropdown menu and did an individual search of every parish.

your michael was born in the parish of Kilcommon RC.   At this stage you will have to pay to view the record, about €5.

Thanks  It has taken me an hour to get into the site as it has every time I have  tried to use this website.   Keeps telling me it is the wrong username and password even though it is correct.   Finally got it to work after rebooting a dozen times. 

Now I cannot figure out where the main menu is.  or the refined search.

Not the most user friendly.   

A very unfriendly site.   i did as you told and am told  No records were returned with the search criteria. 

I rebooted and I tried again and it worked.   Thanks.    

I think someone is out to get me with this site.   I have now entered 3 different credit cards and it keeps telling me they are not accepted and that my email address is not correctly formatted.   LOL  Can you believe it.!  So I have no way to pay and no way to access the files.   

Thanks for letting me know where you found it.  I will have to try to find another way to get these files since this site is not easy to use.
