My Great, Great Grandmother Bridget D'Arcy was baptised on 28 August 1818 in Templemore parish. Her father was John D'Arcy, Lieutenant with 1st regiment, Middlesex (Parish registers). Her mother was Mary Wade. The sponsors were John Mara and Anne D'Arcy.

Bridget D'Arcy emigrated to Australia in 1841 and both parents were listed as dead at the time.

Her sisters were:

Eliza D'Arcy, baptised 22 April 1816, Templemore, married Dennis Tierney, emigrated to Australia Dec 1839.

Margaret D'Arcy, born 1821, Tipperary, emigrated to Australia 1839.

Ellen D'Arcy, born 1826 Tipperary, emigrated to Australia 1841

I don't know what happened to her parents or anything of their history

There was possibly as son, Michael D'Arcy, baptised 20 April 1830, Cashel & Emly but I don't know any more about him.

    I couldn't find the parents' marriage record or death/burial records for them I'm afraid.

    The earliest Irish Census with Tipp records is 1851 but it has no D'Arcys; nor do the Tithe Applotments (1823-37).

    Similarly Griffiths Valuation 1848-64 has no D'Arcys in Tipp!!!
