I traced My great grandmother, Margaret M Dee who was the daughter of John Dee and Mary Cody (can't find Mary Cody), and took ship from Queenstown, Ireland to Ellis Island NY in 1904. She had a pre-paid ticket by her aunt and went to stay with her Aunt Mrs. Catherine "Cody" Dwyer in Charleroi, Pennsylvania (b.1868 - 1926). Catherine Cody was born to Martin Cody and Mary Fitzgerald of Moycarky. Martin Cody/Mary Fitzpatrick had: James, Patrick, Catherine, Margaret, and Johanna. I know Margaret and Johanna were twins born on September 11, 1871. I don't know if Margaret Cody (Catherine's sister is possiby a "Mary Margaret" who could be Margaret Dee's mother or not...no idea). Some folks in Ireland checked the Civil index records for Moycarky and didn't see anything for Dee/Coady or Dea/Cody. I did find that with one child, John Dee may have spelled his name as "John Day". I also believe that records could be in the Thurles area if John remarried Margaret's mother if we had been married to Mary Delahunty first. I'm not sure that the Roman Catholic records are shown and we are able to see everything. THis may be why I can't find it? I'm trying to figure out the connection to my great grandmother, Margaret Dee. Margaret had many siblings and some listed Mary Delahunty and John Dee as their parents from Littleton, Tpperary, Ireland. In the USA, Margaret had siblings who followed. She had a brother WIlliam Dee and a sister, Mary "Minnie" E Dee, who came to the USA and in records state their mother also was "Mary Cody" and father was "John Dee" - sister was Margaret Dee Dye which was my grandmother. I think there could have been a second marriage and that I do have the correct John Dee, but I'm not able to find John Dee records or Mary Cody records. I can find reference to Dee family in Littleton through census records in 1901 and some in 1911 for Ireland. I'm on the right track because someone did see that a "Patrick Cody" from Moycarky was the Godfather/sponsor for the baptism of Catherine Dee, daughter of John Dee in the same family of Margaret's. Catherine was the child of John Dee and Mary Delahunty. Any help would be appreciated. I also am trying to track down to see if my great grandmother and great aunt who lived in the USA are buried in Tipperary County somewhere. I cannot find their burial place. They both died in the USA (Beaver County, Pennsylvania), but I cannot find a record of burial place/location. My mother and aunt believe that they could be buried in Ireland due to the fact that my grandfather in the 1980's made his first and only trip to Cork/Cobh and they think he said he was able to visit his mother's grave to lay flowers on it. Her name was Margaret "Maggie" Dye nee Dee (b. Dec. 29, 1883 -- date may be incorrect according to death record so this is correct date according to marriage record I found; d. Feb. 1923). Her sister was Mary "Minnie" Lepore nee Dee (b. 1890 - date may vary and she died 1950). Both lived in Littleton, Tipperary Ireland area before heading to Pennsylvania (small towns near Pittsburgh).
