A family I'm researching into has a lot of oddness and I need someone to check over the facts and see what I have is correct.

Michael Griffin was born about 1866, died Feb 1945 in Cullen. Death was reported by Margaret Molloy (niece) from Cullen. Father is likely to be Patrick and mother is Hanora.
Michael Griffin married Mary Power on 30 Jan 1890 at Cappawhite, Tipperary. Their civil record is missing.
Michael's father is listed as John (from Oola). This doesn't follow the naming rules and the 2nd wedding lists the father as Patrick.

Mary Power born about 1871 and died 7 June 1896 of Philipstown by "Rotracted labour 2 days 11 hours - cardiac syncope 23 hours". Death was reported by Hanora Griffin (Mother In Law) from Clonganhue. Father is listed as William (from Cappawhite) on the marriage record. The mother might be named Ellen.
The child is missing from the records? Likely died with the mother and therefore may have not been reported.

Children found:
25 MAY 1890 Mary Griffin from Knockane, Tipperary
16 DEC 1891 Hanora Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary
1 MAY 1893 Ellen Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary
19 OCT 1894 Patrick Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary

Patrick Griffin died 27 OCT 1894.
Mary Griffin was born 4 months after the wedding. It seems Mary was their child. "Mary" doesn't follow the naming rules.

Michael from Clonganhue remarried to Johanna Hayes(my 1st cousin 4x removed) from Chadville on 8 Feb 1900 in Cappawhite. Witnesses (civil and church): Michael Fleming from Clonganhue and Annie Fleming from Chadville.
Johanna Hayes born 25 SEP 1871 from Golden, Tipperary, parents: John Hayes & Margaret Hayes. Died 24 Mar 1958 from Clounmanagh, Cullen, Tipperary, reported by Margaret Molloy (niece) from Ballinulty, Cullen.

In the 1901 census, only Ellie (Ellen) Griffin is listed from the last marriage. She isn't listed in the 1911 census living with the family.

In the 1911 census, it lists 20 years being married. Seems like this was counting both marriages to Michael? 8 children born and living listed. Only 7 were found.

Children found:
12 NOV 1900 Patrick Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary.
30 JUNE 1902 John Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary.
23 JUNE 1904 James Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary.
8 OCT 1906 Martin Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary.
6 JAN 1908 Thomas Griffin from Philipstown, Cappagh, Tipperary.
26 SEP 1910 Hanoria Griffin from Ballyhane, Cappagh, Tipperary.
13 SEP 1912 Johanna Griffin from Ballinulty, Cullen, Tipperary

To sum up:
1) Where are Michael Griffin and Mary Power's civil marriage record?
2) Where is Hanora Griffin's civil birth record?
3) Where is the baptism of the child born 7 June 1896?
4) What happened to the children: Hanora Griffin and Ellen Griffin from the first marriage?
5) Was there a missing child in the 2nd marriage?  Solved
6) Why is Michael's father listed as John and not Patrick in the first wedding?

Hi just wanted to let you know that my Griffins lived in Miltown which was right next to Cullen. My great grandfather was Bartholomew Griffin & he married Honora Ryan.they had 5 children my grand mother Hannah or Anna Griffin,Bridget Griffin, william, john & Daniel griffin. They were farmers .I have found their family living there back to the 1820's up till the1950's.have you had your DNA tested? If so place it in the Gedmatch program. You may find out who you match up with & they may have answers you need.I would love to see if you are related since they were so close to each other.
