  • Hi

I have just found this post.

I have an ancestor James Carroll from Tipperary who was a farm servant. He was married to Mary Penner and had 7 children. He was caught with 2 others taking a sheep, they were tried 7th April 1827 and sentanced to death but then sent to Australia insted on the Eliza 3.

    James was 40 years old at that time (born 1787) The children were Ellen b 1809,  Bridget (Biddy) b 1812,  Jeremiah (Darby) b 1814,  Mary b 1816,  Thomas b 1818,  James b 1820,  Edmond b 1822

Most of the family moved to Australia eventually, but i have not found Jeremiah over here yet and i would love to find him.  I have heaps more info on James if needed. I also have McDonnells in my line (from Scotland)

    Regards Sue
