Trying to trace ancestors of William Ryan and Catherine O'Keefe who married in the early 1840s prior to coming out to Tasmania Australia with her mother, Margaret O'Keeffe nee Sadlier and wife of the then deceased Cornelius with many of their large clan following including Michael O'Keeffe.

Bridge Ryan, born 1851 who later married William O'Donnell came out to New Zealand in the early 1900s with her children and we have lost touch with the home based family.

Hoping to reconnect.

    Welcome to Ireland Reacing Out!

Unfortunately we don?t have a volunteer in Kilfeacle. There are a few sites that you can try in terms of searching for details about William and Catherine. I had a look on rootsireland.ie but couldn?t see a marriage record for a Ryan-O?Keefe. In fact the only marriage and baptism info for children of a William Ryan in Tipperary are for a William and Ellena Keefe. This marriage took place in Tipperary in 1845. I take it you are sure that William?s wife?s first name was Catherine? Do you know if William and Catherine had children here or after they emigrated?

In terms of reconnecting with descendants, have you thought about sending something to the Tipperary Star newspaper, they may be able to publish something for you? Contact them here: aog@tipperarystar.ie

    Best wishes
