My maternal Great Grandparents, Thomas Martin and Johanna Collins Barrett, were married at St, Ailbe RC church on 20 February, 1849. Their youngest, Thomas John Martin (born April 13, 1865 in Killeenagarriff) was my grandfather. Other children by Thomas and Johanna were Catherine, born January 21, 1850; Mary, born August 31, 1851; Benjamin, born July 25, 1853; Michael , born September30, 1855; Honora, born 1860; and Joseph Patrick, born 1864.
The Martins have connections to Killeenagarriff, Galbally, Emly, and Tipperary town. Thomas senior, Benjamin and Thomas were bakers.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Can I suggest that you modify your subject line to show the surname Martin. This will allow others who might be looking for Martin connections in Tipperary and Emly parish.
Are you looking for more information about your family or have all the info and just looking for other connections?

Hello Roger...
I will be happy to change the subject line, if you will show me how. I am somewhat computer savvy, but this web page is new to me. Assuming the Mr. Pat Lynch... is the subject line, I have tried unsuccessfully to replace it with Martin.
I am seeking more local information on my Martins, and would like additional connections, since those acquaintances I made 24 years ago are no longer with us.
A specific item I am trying to run down regards a statement made by a Salt Lake professional Genealogist who was in Galbally for me in 1993. He included a statement in his report that I should "make sure you pursue the relatives who went to New Zealand. Their removal still remains with the local lore." I obviously did not follow up on that comment, although I do recall being told that Michael Martin was sent to the Australian Penal Colony.
Roger, as you can tell, I am a rookie wiith Ireland Reaching Out.

I modified the subject line for you. You hit the Edit button at the top and then modify the subject line and then hit Save which is way at the bottom of the page.
I will alert a parish liaison who is familar with that area of Tipperary.
