Searching for any information about Roger Corcoran born in Clonoulty in 1792. He was sentenced to 14 years. Don't know what his crime was. He was transported as a convict to NSW Australia. His wife, Mary Murphy had been convicted of the murder of Walter Burke in Ballinhinch on 17th April 1829. She was respited and transported to NSW Australia for life.

  • Dear Faye,

Your message was forwarded to me by Irelandxo. Unfortunately, I'm from a different parish area. However, I can give you the email address of John O'Gorman who works in the Local Studies Library, Thurles, and is also a native of Clonoulty parish. He is very helpful and hopefully can lead you in the right direction. His email address is:

    jogorman@tipperarylibraries.ie

Best of luck in your research!

    Kind regards,

    Paddy O'Dwyer
