I have already posted on the Kilbehenny and Mitchelstown boards recently but thought I would try one more message as I think my great, great grandad was born in the SS Peter and Paul parish, Tipperary. He was William Fiitzgerald, born in 1843 and his father was John Fitzgerald. He got married to Margaret Tobin in Kilbehenny, Limerick in 1867 and lived there for a number of years until the family emigrated to England. I think William’s mother might have been Maria Mahony and his siblings might have been Maria, Catherine and James. I’d be really grateful if anybody could tell me anything more. Thank you.

Hello again!
Persistence pays off! I found William in 1843 in Sts. Peter and Paul in Clonmel. That parish is split between Tipperary and Waterford. He had a sister Mary 1836 sister Catherine in 1838 brother James 1841. Here is a link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1103

Thanks again.
It's interesting that the parish is split between two counties. We will definitely be visiting.
