My great-great-great grandparents were Patrick Healy and Mary MacCormick, who were married in February 1819 in Ballingarry Parish. Baptismal records for their children show that the family lived in Boulintlea village. Other family names that occur in the records (as marriage witnesses or baptismal sponsors) are Luby, Cormack and Maher.
Patrick and Mary had at least five children: Mary b. 1824, Bridget b. 1826, Patrick b. 1827, Ellen (my great-grandmother) b. 1830, and Frances "Fanny" b. 1834. Ellen ended up in Chicago, where she and her family survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. I don't know what happened to her parents or siblings, but I'm eager to trace them.
I visited Balingarry town, several years ago, and also had a look at the countryside around Boulintlea and Commons. I was impressed by the story of the War House, and naturally wonder whether my Mary Mac Cormick had some connection to the family of the famous Widow.
I'd enjoy hearing from you, if you can help me fill in the picture!

Apologies for the very long delay in answering your message. Have you learned any more about the above?
