Seeking contact with any descendants of Patrick Dwyer and Nancy/Anty Roach. They lived in Donohill Parish, Ballydonagh townland in the 1st half of the 19th century. My 2x great grandmother Margaret Dwyer b.1825 in Donohill was their daughter. She married Edmund Shelly of the neighboring townland of Pallas, and they arrived in Australia in 1855.
Also seeking descendants of Ellen Shelly of Pallas and Thomas (Tom) Dwyer of Ballydonagh, both in Donohill parish, who married in 1823. Children found for this couple so far are: Patrick b.1825, Unknown b.1827, William b. 1828, Richard b.1833, Honora b.1835, Bridget b.1838, Michael b.1840, Ellen b.1843 Catherine b.1846. So far I have no knowledge that any of this branch of the family emigrated.
Thank you,
Christine Shelley

Hi Christina, only one family of Dwyers in Ballydonough in 1911 census. Found Shelly's in Pallas in Griffiths valuation. Will try and find out are the families still living in the area.

Thank you Christina. I have been told there are no Shellys in Donohill now, but some may have moved elsewhere in Ireland, so I was just wondering whether I might have more luck in finding any Dwyer distant relatives.

Hi Christine, I will search for headstone inscriptions and Obituarys. Will also try and find out who inherited their land in the follow on from Griffiths. If you would like to email me my address is mallow1@irelandxo.com.
