  • Hi Clare, I am going off on a "tangent" for my family living on Coney Island. I have ran across a few references mentioning Grange, just outside Sligo past Drumcliff. Can you tell me, is that also County Sligo or ???, and if so which parish would I be researching???

I appreciate any information you might have, also this might be a duplicate message of sorts that I sent earlier today.

    Thank You,

    James Haran

  • Dear James

Drumcliff is a Civil Parish in Co. Sligo:

RC records for the Parish of Drumcliff begin in 1841 for baptisms and 1865 for marriages.

There is a Grange townland in the Civil Parish of Ahamlish in Co. Sligo, a neighbouring parish to Druncliff (you can see this from the map on the link above). RC records for Ahamlish begin in 1796, though there are some missing dates, mostly in the 1830s.

    Hope this helps
