Rodger Dowd was born 1800.  Married a Mary (Feely) Feele, had a son James Dowd born 1830 in Leitri?                                                                                                                                                      Jame Dowd immigrated to Boston MA app. 20 Apr. 1853.

I believe Rodger Dowd may gone with James Dowd to MA.

Mary Dowd staye In Ireland, according to the Griffiths Valuation, she was in Leirtim County,in 1857.

I check with Leitrim County they have no records of the Dowd or Feele.

    There are 2 baptism records for Roger Dowd on www.rootsireland.ie/

    1 is 1754 in Antrim and the other 1870 also in Antrim so neither are near 1800

    There is a baptism record of James DOUDE 1834 Leitrim; the mother is Mary (but not Feely) and the father is not Roger

    You need to be aware that transcription errors and illiteracy caused different spellings so DOUDE could still be relevant

    For DOWD in LEITRIM rootsireland has 228 birth/baptism records, 4 marriage records and 59 death/burial records

    For Feely there are 1339 birth/baptism  24 marriage and 417 death/burial records in Leitrim
